METC 2010 Call for Presenter
"Reaching Beyond the Cloud"

Workshop and Session Presentation Proposal
Deadline for breakout sessions extended to September 30, 2009

What tech tools do you use to reach and teach your students or staff? Do you feel others would benefit from learning more about the technology tools used in your teaching? Do you have a desire to share your creative and professional successes?

If you or a colleague can answer yes to the above questions, METC 2010 invites you to apply as a presenter for a breakout session or hands-on workshop. More than 1,500 attendees from the Midwest are expected to participate including technology specialists, teachers, library media specialists, staff developers, administrators, instructional technology teachers, counselors, and information technology / network specialists.

METC 2010 program committee has established two goals:

  • Design a program based on strands that encompass technology in all aspects of education – classroom, library media center, school / district offices and network infrastructure.
  • Offer a program that fits into educators’ individual learning plans and aligns with high quality professional development.

To reach these programming goals, METC 2010 invites teachers, media specialists, administrators, technical support and other education-minded people who have effective instructional technology programs and management strategies to share their methods, plans and successes.

  • How does technology impact and support your teaching and motivate students to think, collaborate and learn?
  • How do you engage your tech savvy students? Does it make a difference in your classroom, library, school or district?
  • How do you make technology work to increase student achievement?
  • How do you use technology to differentiate lessons and meet the needs of all the students?
  • How do you plan professional development for improved technology implementation?
  • How do you juggle the volume of requests for more connections and stay sane?
  • How do you implement technology on a shoestring budget?
