Come prepared to learn about the latest web tools which will help facilitate digital learning and professional development.

Tuesday, February 9: 10:50 - 11:40 AM
Coaches can be Geeks too! A number of tools, free and commercial, are available to help coaches. Student workouts can be shared and monitored. Video can be analyzed to improve individual and team performances. Highlight reels and flickr accounts can spotlight events. Video workouts and training demos can be made available on the web or on iPods. Games and interviews can be broadcast. This session will explore how technology supports the athletic curriculum.

The use of Web 2.0 technologies such as blogs, podcasts, wikis and micro blogging in the educational environment can create opportunities outside of the classroom where learning can take place. These technologies can help create a learning community among the teacher, students, and others outside of the classroom. This session is a beginner's introduction to Web 2.0 tools and how to use them in a classroom.

The document camera is an incredible tool to better reach your students in the classroom and enhance your curriculum. The many options provided by the camera allow you to foster greater student engagement as well as provide communication and information to students and parents outside of the classroom.
